Walking at Woodlay Holidays

Whether you have come to Woodlay to fish or just to enjoy a holiday in Cornwall and the beauty of our valley, there are lovely walks from the apartments down to the lakes.

Sit and enjoy the birds and flowers around the lakes or walk down the valley to the end of the lakes and into our woodland.

For the more energetic you can continue into Deerpark Forest where there are many miles of forest track or follow paths down to the coast.

It is also possible to walk down the valley to Looe from where you can access the South West Coast path.

Fauna and Flora

Whilst walking around the lakes and in our woodland look out for deer, owls and birds of prey including buzzards and hawks as well as kingfisher and dragonflies.

Watch the many varieties of birds that come to our bird feeders around the Barn.

Enjoy the flowers - daffodils and primroses in April, foxgloves, rhododendrons and bluebells in May and the hydrangeas and fuchsias in the summer.

Our wood is a carpet of bluebells in May.
